Jocotal students visit San Gabriel Hydroelectric Plant
Educating young generations
On July 1st, 2010, students from the Jocotal Abajo de Desamparados School visited the San Gabriel Hydroelectric Plant.
During the visit, the students learned not only how a hydroelectric plant operates but also the importance - to Costa Rica and the world - of generating electricity with renewable sources.
Grupo Ecoenergía´s electricity generating plants are all certified as friendly with the environment (ISO 14001:2004).
Costa Rica aims to produce all its energy with clean sources in 2021.
